PERIGEE is an independent watchmaking project. This page describes every piece of information the site collects. It is short because the site collects almost nothing.
If anything here is unclear, or you want your information removed, write to [email protected] and I will answer.
What is collected
Your email address, if you type it into the waiting list form. Along with it, two things are recorded at the moment you submit:
- the path of the page the form was on, so I know where people sign up from;
- a two-letter country code, which the host derives from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored.
That is the whole record. There is no name field, no address field, and nothing is inferred about you.
A counter, to stop machines flooding the form. It is labelled with a scrambled value worked out from your IP address and the current minute. The label cannot be read back as an IP address, it is not attached to your signup, and the row is deleted once that minute has passed. It exists to count requests and nothing else.
Anything you put in an email to me is kept in the mailbox it is delivered to, like any other correspondence.
What is not collected
This site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no social media embeds. It sets no cookies. It loads nothing from any other company's servers, including the fonts, which are served from this domain. Opening the page tells no third party that you were here.
Verified against the built site on 18 August 2026. One clarification, so the paragraph above is exact: the host injects a small script, served from this domain, that hides email addresses on the page from scrapers. It contacts nobody and it is the only code on the site I did not write. If any of this changes, this page changes with it, before the change ships.
Why, and on what basis
One reason only. When the first run of watches opens for order, I will send one email to the list. If you are in a place with data protection law that asks for a lawful basis, the basis is your consent, given when you submitted the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Your address is not used for anything else. It is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with another company for their own use.
Where it is kept
The list lives in a database run by Cloudflare, on servers in the United States. The site is hosted by Cloudflare too. As the host, Cloudflare processes requests for the site and keeps its own security and abuse logs, which include visitor IP addresses. That is Cloudflare's processing, under their privacy policy , and I do not have access to those logs.
No mailing list provider is involved today. If I move the list to one so that I can actually send the email, this page will name that company before the move happens.
How long it is kept
Until you ask for it to be deleted, or until the waiting list is retired and no longer needed, whichever comes first.
What you can ask for
Write to [email protected] and you can have a copy of what is stored about you, a correction to it, or its deletion. Deletion is the common one and it takes me a minute. You do not have to explain why, and asking costs you nothing.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the rights the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you apply, including the right to object, the right to portability, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority. If you are in California, note that PERIGEE does not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those words, and never has.
Children
This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If an address on the list belongs to a child, write to me and it will be removed.
Changes to this page
The date at the top is the date the text last changed. If something material changes while you are on the list, you will hear about it in the same email that tells you the watches are ready, or sooner if it matters sooner.
